Summary
Summary:The Medical Staff Specialist role coordinates the daily activities of the organized medical staff and serves as a key liaison between the medical staff at large, elected medical staff leadership, hospital administration, hospital counsel/legal, the Board of Trustees and the system.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
1. Education: Bachelor's Degree or five years of equivalent work experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred. 2. License/Certifications: N/A 3. Experience: Bachelor's Degree requires two years of related work experience. Five years of related work experience required in lieu of Bachelor's Degree. Medical staff credentialing experience preferred. 4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A 5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Knowledge of medical staff organization, credentialing process and regulatory activities.
