JOB SUMMARY: This position requires a responsible, artistic, and energetic person who will work a dual role as a Theater Supervisor and Ticket Booth Operator at the Performing Arts Center (PAC). As a Theatre Supervisor, this position will supervise the theater activities and/ or operate the ticket booth for events at the PAC. As a Ticket Booth Operator, this position greet the public and handle ticket sales for performances at the PAC.
LOCATION: The Tinley Park Performing Arts Center (16801 S. 80th Avenue)
QUALIFICATIONS: The qualified individual must have a high school diploma or equivalent with experience demonstrating good leadership skills. Additionally, this candidate must be able to communicate effectively with adults and children of all ages. Current CPR certification or have the ability to obtain CPR certification is needed.
INCENTIVES: This is a year-round, part-time position with 10-15 hours per week, including the occasional weekday afternoons/evenings and weekend days/afternoons/evenings shifts. Pay rate begins at $14.00 per hour and qualifies for a complementary membership to the Fitness Center, Recreation Center, Water Park and Dog Park. Flexible work hours are preferred.
ABOUT US: The Tinley Park-Park District is an award-winning public agency that provides its 55,000 residents with a wide variety of recreation facilities, programs, events, parks, and open spaces. The Park District maintains over 40 parks, 33 ball fields, and several facilities which include the Tony Bettenhausen Recreation Center, Tinley Fitness, White Water Canyon Water Park, Canine Campus Dog Park, Tinley Junction Miniature Golf & Batting Cages, Vogt Visual Arts Center, and the Tinley Park Performing Arts Center.
The Performing Arts Center (PAC) is the home of our very own Tinley Park Community Theater, Tinley Park-Park District's Children's and Teen's Theaters, and many other performing arts programs. The Center also offers numerous acting and improv classes throughout the year.
