Quality Assurance ManagerResponsibilities:Responsible for the overall health and performance of a Quality Management System (QMS). Oversees the development, management, and implementation of the quality management system in compliance with governing standards including AS9100, FAA Part145, and customer-specific requirements.Serve as a leader and champion in building and maintaining a quality driven company culture of constant improvement, teamwork, and learning.Establish and optimize manufacturing quality assurance business processes that consistently result in products and services that meet customer expectations, reduce defects, enhance efficiencies, and minimize costs throughout all manufacturing stages.Serve as company Quality representative when engaging with customers and suppliers in support of quality audits and quality assurance discussions.Responsible for managerial and technical leadership of the Quality staff which includes overseeing professionals and/or technical level direct reports.Build, manage, and mentor a team of five employees.Establish and maintain department processes and training.Support formal quality improvement initiatives including Continuous Improvement projects using methods such as Kaizens, Value Stream Analysis, PDCA, DMAIC, 5S, and SQCDP visual management boards.Support Quality Control initiatives including manufacturing inspection and audit programs, data analyses, Cause and Corrective Actions, CARs, and Nadcap accreditation activities.Company quality assurance policies and objectives.Develop and drive completion of Quality Assurance goals and objectives.QMS development and sustainment.Manage the development and sustainment of the company Quality System Manual and Standard Operating ProceduresEnsure company process flows are captured, critical processes and measurements are identified, procedure ownership is clarified, and procedures are in place enabling flow down of requirements from contract to products and services.Drive the quality creation/accountability to the operations source through training, implementation of meaningful metrics, efficient processes, and comprehensive auditing.Drive the development of robust processes that affect the quality of the product by planning, coordinating, and executing tactical department projects and company initiatives to meet established deadlines and policy deployment objectivesChampions VOC (Voice of the Customer) as part of the QMS.Oversees document and records management.Work closely with the Training department to develop and maintain a company Quality Assurance training program.Manage the development and sustainment of company Quality Assurance internal and external auditing programs.AS9100 and Nadcap AccreditationsManage all activities associated with maintaining excellent AS9100 and Nadcap accreditation status.Ensures the company QMS meets AS9100 regulatory requirements for Quality Management Principles, Leadership, Planning, Support, Operations, Performance Evaluations, and Improvement.Ensures each finding and observation is driven to closure.Establish and maintain a comprehensive auditing program.Company Data Analytics and KPIsWork in coordination with leadership to identify and develop KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) measuring high-level company process performance.Monitor and analyze process outputs, identify systemic problems and opportunity areas, provide data and direction to process owners, and work with team members to drive process improvements to work toward zero-defect quality performance.QMRWork with leadership to create and present company Quarterly Management Reviews (QMRs). Drive completion of QMR actions.CCBSupport the company Change Control Board. This includes overseeing change initiatives and leading projects to closure.Company Risk ManagementWork with leadership to manage company level business risk management activities including risk identification, risk level assessments, and management of mitigation actions.Company Business ContinuityWork with leadership to create and maintain and Business Continuity Plan.Qualifications / Requirements:Experience with developing and implementing quality assurance programs for AS9100, ISO 9001quality management systems.Experience with Nadcap accreditations.4+ years manufacturing experience in related field.4+ years experience in aviation/aerospace manufacturing environment. Manufacturing experience in medical industry may also be considered.4-year degree in quality, physical sciences, chemistry, engineering, or similar4+ years managing staffPreferred Qualification:Manufacturing quality certification recognized by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) such as CMQ/OE, CQPA, CQE, and CQA.Lean Six Sigma certification.Salary: 100-120k commensurate on experience and education.Position is onsite only. 7am-330pm (approx.)Background and Drug test required.Benefits:401(k) with matchDental insuranceHealth insuranceCompany Paid Life insuranceCompany paid STD and LTDVision insuranceYMCA discountFSA/HSAHoneycomb Company of America is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
