Journeyman PlumberJob DescriptionJoin our team as a Journeyman Plumber where you will be responsible for the new-construction installation of a wide variety of plumbing systems. Our projects span commercial and industrial sectors including schools, multi-family residences, hotels, police and fire stations, food processing facilities, and large distribution warehouses. We work across private, public, and federal sectors to deliver top-notch plumbing solutions.ResponsibilitiesRead blueprints and other technical documents to assess building needs and pipe/plumbing fixture plansWork with contractors to assess client needs and plan plumbing layoutInstall, assemble, maintain, and repair pipes and plumbing fixturesAffix clamps, screws, brazing, soldering, welds, etc. to pipes and tubesMeasure and modify pipes accordingly by cutting, threading, or bending pipes using specialized toolsInstall appliances like boilers, water heaters, toilets, sinks, etc.Diagnose plumbing problems and resolve any issuesRepair or replace damaged partsLocate and repair water line leaksTrain new apprentices in proper plumbing techniques and practicesConfirm pipe system is air/watertight by performing pressure testsKeep detailed notes and create work reports documenting projectsTest plumbing and other installed fixtures to ensure proper functioningFollow state laws and regulations and adhere to local building codesAdditional:Work located in the Tri-Cities and surrounding area.The projects are new construction with approximately 50% of our work prevailing wages.We perform a wide range of interesting and challenging work that includes standard plumbing, hydronic systems and mechanical equipment.QualificationsCommercial Washington and/or Oregon Journeyman cardPay$30-$50 + 120/working day per diem if travelingBenefitsWeekly payMedical, Dental & Vision HSA401kAbout Aerotek:We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
