No call! No Weekends! DMOS is supporting Ankeny Medical Park Surgery Center (AMPSC) in finding PRN Pre/Post Op PACU Registered Nurse at our Ankeny Surgery Center. If you like the idea of a full scope orthopedic and endoscopy focus, this might be the job for you! This PRN position will be working at AMPSC between Monday - Friday with start times ranging from 6AM - 7AM. Procedural endoscopy experience highly preferred!
What is the Job:
As a Pre & Post/PACU Nurse, you will be responsible for greeting and rooming patients in a professional manner. You will start and monitor IVs, administer pre-operative medications, and provide explanation of patient's rights and responsibilities. After our patients have finished their procedure or surgery, you will be responsible for supporting patient recovery. This may include monitoring post-operation vital signs, assess levels of consciousness, and carefully observe patients for any side effects from anesthesia or sedation.
