PRN (Pre-Op/OR/PACU)
We are currently looking for patient-centered PRN nurses to support the ambulatory surgical department in our Surgical Care Center. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside our top-notch physicians to provide quality, personalized medical and surgical care.
PRN (Pre-Op/OR/PACU) Benefits

Shifts are scheduled Monday - Friday
- No nights, weekends, or on calls
- Closed on major Holidays
- As a PRN you only have to work 2 shifts per month
PRN (Pre-Op/OR/PACU) Responsibilities
- Participates as a team member in support of the total peri-operative process.
- Participates as a functional team member in admitting and discharging patients in a safe and timely manner.
- Contributes to the QAPI process; identifies role and contributions to functional teams; participates in data collecting; collaborates with the team to identify opportunities to improve patient safety.
- Documents pertinent patient information on the chart and other appropriate places and gives report to appropriate staff.
- Communicates effectively and educates the patient regarding the admission and discharge processes as they occur.
- Performs thorough preoperative patient assessment required in the outpatient setting.
- Provides comfort and reassurance to the patient and supports the patient's right to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
- Implements and documents preoperative care according to facility policy.
- Performs safe and individualized nursing care for the patient in the immediate post-operative period.
- Organizes nursing activities efficiently; understands greeting the patient and circulating RN upon arrival to post-op is priority.
- Provides nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered.
- Assures the discharge instructions are given and understood by patient and caregiver.
- Assures patient has met facility discharge criteria prior to release from facility.
REGISTERED NURSE OR/PRE-OP/PACU - EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
•Current certifications in BLS, CPR and ACLS
•Appropriately licensed in the State of Kentucky.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Ability for analytical and critical thinking and solid problem solving is essential.

$32-$35.75 per hour
