Senior Supply Chain Analyst (Senior Data Analyst, Supply Chain)
will collaborate with Supply Chain for STERIS to assist creation of an overall analytics strategy for the Procurement department. This role will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing analytics in order to identify risk and create more effective and efficient ways related to strategic supply chain Management. The position will require prior experience with industry standard software tools and technologies. This involves gathering data requirements, report development, testing and support for analytical, ERP and operating systems, and potential development of Procurement related applications/portals. The incumbent will be the Subject Matter Expert and Business Process Owner in the Supply Chain Procurement related applications, visualization in Tableau and/or Power BI, and will partner with the sites and Supply Chain teams to create new businesses processes and practices to help the Global Supply Chain Organization operate in a World-Class manner. The position will require learning to implement the analytics processes on the department toolkits and generally staying abreast with changes in technology.DutiesProvides an understanding of business and data requirements, and design visualizations for initial concepts and prototypes that can be presented to the business, and supply chain partners.Assist department leader with establishing overall analytical strategy and roadmap.Closely work with IT team to develop existing technology that enables quicker and better analytics.Performs detailed data analysis (determine data structures, content, and quality of the data through examination of source systems).Designs and creates data visualizations (reports and dashboards) using Tableau or Power BI as required.Responsibility for managing and executing Supply Chain systems and processes focused on procure to pay for both inventory and non-inventory, along with system development/improvement. The individual will need to work as part of a regional and/or global team to improve and meet business targets.Develops and produces Procurement related analysis, and other metrics to enable communications and decision making.Serves as SME (subject matter expert) and BPO (business process owner) on Supply Chain Procurement systems and business intelligence database.Assists with Business Process development as it relates to systems for Supply Chain Procurement functions.Supports the training and usage of Supply Chain Procurement systems and data analyticscapabilities within the Supply Chain and operations teams.Work with Supply Chain colleagues to continuously improve the department and achieve department goals.Identify and resolve both Supply Chain Procurement systems and data quality/integrity issues.Troubleshoot BI and Analytics tools, systems and software; performance-tune applications as necessary.Communicates and collaborates well with Supply Chain colleagues and the business leaders to strategize on impactful projects and deliver value added analytics to monitor key areas of the business.
#LI-BB1Required ExperienceBachelor's Degree.Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the Supply Chain or Operations, or other similar roles.OR High School Diploma plusMinimum of thirteen (13)years of experience in the Supply Chain or Operations, or other similar roles.
Minimum of three (3)years of experience with advanced knowledge in data gathering, developing reports and dashboards, using industry standard software (Tableau Prep and Tableau Desktop, or Power BI strongly preferred).
Preferred Experience
Experience using Oracle, preferred.Experience using Power BI, preferred.
Skills
A working knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) applications (SAP, Oracle).A Mastery of data improvement and the transition of business requirements into relevant, shareable pieces of information.Exceptional planning, organization skills, attention to detail, communication and team skills.A history of effective Project Management.Ability to perform multi-source data consolidation.Excellent analytical skills and the ability to quickly recognize patterns and related activity.Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving, organization, time management skills.Ability to understand client's business needs and translate business needs into IT user requirements.Proficient in data analysis, defect identifications and resolutions.Ability to inspire and instill a common vision and framework.
Work Schedule
This is a hybrid schedule position based at our world headquartersin Mentor, OH.The schedule is 3 days/week onsite, 2 days/week remote.Up to 10% domestic travel.
