Clinical/Substance Use Program SupervisorColorado Springs, CO 80909 - In OfficeDepartment: Outpatient/Community ProgramsReports to: Director of Business DevelopmentPosition: Full-time/ExemptNATURE OF POSITION:The Clinical/Substance Use Disorder Program Supervisor is responsible for clinically supervising clinical therapists (employee and contractor), outpatient clinicians, and case managers. This position is responsible for clinically supervising the intensive outpatient program (IOP) as well as the partial hospitalization program (PHP) for substance use and mental health. This position works independently and demonstrates solid leadership and clinical skills. This role will provide clinical support to outpatient clinicians, clinical therapists, office managers, and direct care staffESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervision and ManagementProvide and document at least bi-weekly clinical supervision to therapists, case managers, and other providers.Assist in the development and implementation of staff orientation and staff development programs.Ensures employee staffing and scheduling are coordinated to provide appropriate staff coverage.Be prepared for and actively participate in all meetings, staffing, training, etc.Maintain client confidentiality.Complete all necessary administrative documents promptly as scheduled.Continuous ImprovementKnowledgeably administers the clinical aspects of the Griffith Centers, according to standards of quality.Ensures appropriate practices as outlined by local, state, and federal regulations and best practice standards.Assists in the development, review, and update of policies, procedures, and forms related to compliance standards.Ensures all department staff have access to necessary policies and procedures, organizational charts, crisis plans, and other relevant documents and materials essential to their job function.Ensures that providers stay in compliance with their respective client-facing hours requirements.Supports with data analysis, and report development.Available for crisis situations and provides support/consult to clinicians and staff, as necessary.Works directly with Psychiatry, Nursing, and Director of Business Development on program development, curriculum development, staffing, client engagement, program development, and all aspects of the program.FacilitationMaintains regular contact with all members of the teamFacilitates and documents individual supervision by actively listening, providing constructive feedback, and articulating expectations and goalsEnsures supervisees understand feedback and are open to addressing any questions or concernsEmergency phone line coverage 60 days per calendar yearManages program development by meeting with community stakeholders and establishing collaborative relationshipsIn collaboration with the Director of Business Development and Chief Program Officer, interviews, hires and onboards new staff members, as neededContinuous ImprovementEngages in continuous professional development opportunitiesRecognizes problems and actively contributes to their resolutionParticipates in relevant Griffith Centers meetingsDemonstrates professional and personal concern for clients' health and safetyAttends work on time and regularlyDresses appropriately for office based and community-based workMaintain a high degree of professional communication with team membersOther duties deemed necessary by the administrationSUPERVISOR DUTIES:This position is responsible for clinically supervising clinical therapists (employee and contractor), outpatient clinicians, and case managersKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:Proficient in rules, regulations and best practice standards as outlined by local, state, and federal agenciesAbility to work an open and flexible schedule to meet assigned staff, client, and program needs, including some holidays, nights and weekendsAbility to work with sensitivity to the cultural and/or socioeconomic diversity of the agency's clients and staffAbility to maintain healthy emotional and physical boundaries in personal and professional relationshipsAdvanced computer, verbal and written communication skillsMust pass a background check, drug screening, and physical examMust have a valid Colorado state driver's license with the ability to travel on behalf of the organizationEducation and Experience:Licensed Additions Counselor or Masters Addictions Counselor (LAC/MAC) required. Full Clinical Licensure in the state of Colorado (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) and 3000 + post-degree clinical hours preferredLiability insurance and DORA registration requiredMinimum of two years' experience providing direct services to children preferredMinimum of two years of experience supervising staff or equivalent working experience in a leadership role preferredExperience working for a non-profit agency preferredExperience providing mental health services in the community is preferredESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Must be able to walk up and down stairsLift and/or move up to 10-25 poundsWORKING CONDITIONS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and/or listen. The employee frequently is required to use hands to grasp and complete clerical duties, which include, but are not limited to filing, typing, and data entry. The employee is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to drive/operate a motor vehicleThis job requires the ability to travel on behalf of the organization and the ability to work in stressful conditions from time to time and remain focused for an extended period of time.
