Job Description Summary:
This position supervises and oversees the day-to-day operations and staff for the assigned area(s). Serves as a resource and provides guidance and expertise to subordinates. Serves as a member of the care coordination team and ensures the team is effectively optimizing quality, patient satisfaction, and utilization of services.
The manager will work support the West Glacier Clinic (located in Glacier National Park) during the summer months. During the winter months, the manager will support the clinic located on Whitefish Mountain (formerly known as Big Mountain). In between these seasons, there will be about 9 weeks were you will be asked to help out at either Logan Health Whitefish (LHW) or one of LHW's clinics located close to campus. The schedule during this time can be discussed and possibly reoriented to meet your desires.
Job Description
Qualifications:
Minimum of one (1) of the following required:
Current Montana Radiology Technologist License and current ARRT.
Current Montana EMT license.
Current Montana Paramedic license.
Completion of 104-hour board approved course to successfully obtain Limited Permit X-Ray within one (1) month of hire required.
Successfully obtain Limited Permit from the State Board of Radiology Technologists within two (2) months of hire required.
Minimum of one (1) year leadership experience required.
Current BLS HCP Certification or will successfully obtain during the orientation process.
To be eligible for the Driver portion of the position:
Current Driver’s License required.
Driving record for the previous thirty-six (36) months must not reflect any major driving offenses (i.e; DUI, convicted of a felony involving a motor vehicle, suspended license, three (3) or more speeding tickets or other moving violations, etc.).
In addition, personal vehicles used for LH business:
State law minimum liability coverage limits required
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
Job Specific Duties:
Oversees daily operations, including monitoring expenses to budget, supply procurement, and accuracy of patient charges.
Maintains awareness of data processing technology, government regulations, health insurance changes and financing options.
Responds to incident reports and patient concerns per department protocol.
Works with registration staff and guest relations supervisor to ensure seasonal clinic staff register patients correctly.
Ensures department safety compliance per department protocol.
Identifies opportunities for quality improvement.
Obtains and documents patient demographic information per department procedures.
Performs patient care pertinent complaint and per scope of practice.
Assists provider with patient care per scope of practice.
Performs radiological exams per department protocol.
Utilizes techniques and implements infection control and safety measures in the performance of duties.
Receives and reviews requisitions for radiology examinations and procedures. Performs radiological exams per department protocol.
Reviews radiology films for quality and accuracy. Prepares films for radiologist review and QA reports.
Responsible for the setup and cleaning of radiography rooms and instructs staff in patient preparation.
Prepares patient for radiology examinations and explains procedure.
Reports malfunctioning equipment to assigned leadership and organizes maintenance of imaging equipment.
Schedules in- and out-patient for examinations and procedures.
Documents charges for patient examinations and sends out preliminary bill per department procedures.
Leads the hiring process, preparation and delivery of evaluations and corrective action for assigned staff.
Supervisors may be expected to perform the following tasks regularly:
Creates work schedule and assigns employees to specific work tasks.
Trains and/or coordinates the training of assigned staff.
Oversees and coordinates successful completion of employees’ competency assessments and required training.
Acts as point-of-contact/subject matter expert for assigned staff.
Leads and/or coordinates compliance and quality efforts.
