We are recruiting for a strategic
Director of Human Resources
to join a rapidly growing manufacturing company in Rancho Cordova. This position is 100% onsite, will support 600 employees at two locations and lead a team of six direct reports. The Director of Human Resources is responsible for oversite of the HR function for the company to include employee relations, training, staffing, total rewards, and labor relations.
Salary range: $180,000-$210,000 DOE + 20% bonus.The qualified candidate will have strong HR leadership experience with a labor relations background and experience in a union environment.RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for the continued development, implementation, and administration of a fully integrated human resources function for the company and its divisions.Effectively manage all aspects of human resources functions in areas to include policy and procedure development, regulatory compliance with regards to human resources and benefit plans, compensation, benefits, employee relations, management succession, career counseling and development, human resources strategic planning, organizational development, and interface with California bargaining unit.Play a key role in the business planning process and combine the business planning and human resource planning functions with a demonstrated sense of the relationship of such activities to operational profit and loss.Participate on the Senior Leadership Team and develop and implement strategies to attain planned goals and continue to develop a team effort culture, and ownership of work values.Serve as an advisor to senior management.Regularly review compensation packages to ensure competitiveness with the marketplace.Supervises personnel recruitment and hiring as appropriate.Maintain effectiveness of EEOC, ADEA, FLSA, and other state and Federal regulations.Develop and implement employee recognition programs to motivate and reward exceptional performance.Participate in acquisition planning and due diligence efforts as it pertains to human resources and oversee the execution of that portion of the integration plan.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.PHR / SPHR certification.Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, with 5-years of management, and 2+ years of union and labor relations experience required.Experience in a startup culture is a plus.Expert knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations; ability to apply knowledge to diagnose and develop appropriate solutions to complex cross-organization issues.Ability to manage and resolve sensitive employee relations issues balancing employee experience and the business effectively.Extensive knowledge in the areas of compensation, performance management, and talent and career development.Proven success in delivering proactive employee/labor relations initiatives that drive consistency and efficiency.Proven success in interacting and influencing leadersDemonstrated positive interpersonal skills with the ability to adjust style as needed to develop effective relationships with all levels of leadership, employees, and peersStrategic problem solver and opportunity seeker always striving to make things better for the organization to drive performance, retention, and employee satisfaction.Strong work ethic with utmost integrity, self-starter, and forward-thinking planner.Ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex investigations and/or issues.Ability to effectively collaborate with other members of the HR team, internal and external Legal Counsel, and other groups in managing employee/labor relations matters.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to analyze metrics.
