We are currently looking for a professional puchasing manager, seeking a new opportunity with a company they call home, here in the High Point,NC area. This person will be working under the Purchasing manager and will be assisting the manage manage in purchasing operations. shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Manage the purchasing process including the buying, selling and distributions aspects of the company.
Handle the workload distribution of the Director of Operations
Developing and implementing purchasing strategies.
Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks.
Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.
Managing the maintenance of office/manufacturing equipment and machinery.
Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
Working to improve purchasing systems and processes.
Provide strong cross functional collaboration and communication between departmental teams
Training new employees in the SAP process and how to use the purchasing system.
Develop cost reduction strategies and savings plans.
Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
Control purchasing department budgets.
Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers.
Must be able to work closely with Sales and Director of Operations on maintaining the planning table in SAP and moving parts orders according to forecasted machine start dates
