L3Harris Space and Airborne Systems is seeking a Test Software Engineer. As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will develop test software for testing complex space-based imaging payloads. You will be part of a team responsible for the design, development, and implementation of test software for the algorithms, controls, and subsystems of complex aerospace applications. This team is responsible for the complete life cycle of the software you create, from development to testing to operation during a mission. You should be comfortable working in a dynamic team environment, contributing to innovative solutions while demonstrating personal leadership, technical competence, and attention to detail. Our missions support scientific research, national security, and commercial opportunities.
Essential Functions:
Write test software for space-based imaging payloads.
Hands-on experience, in integrating and testing embedded flight systems to the software/hardware level.
Support development of test plans, test procedures, requirements traceability, test reports, test flow, and test case design and implementation
Support the set-up, configuration, and documentation of hardware and software systems under test, including loading software onto multiple devices.
Understanding of large and complex areas of test software for multiple software systems, including automated test infrastructure.
Experience with Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) and/or Electronic Ground Support Equipment) EGSE design for space vehicles
Experience with Cosmos, Ruby, InControl or other Satellite/Telemetry Tracking & Control (TT&C) Scripting languages, Neptune, C#
Document testing issues and failures and perform analysis of test results.
LabVIEW, TestStand working knowledge.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related field with a minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Experience in space-based payload I&T and ground test equipment development.
Experience, in integrating and testing embedded processing systems to the software/hardware level.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain a security clearance.
Experience with DevOps tools including Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Confluence.
Knowledge of space domain and applications.
Experience with space vehicle level test development and integration.
Experience with National Instruments Test Equipment
MATLAB, Simulink
Working knowledge of lasers, image processors, visible cameras, IR detectors, servo motors, actuators and focus mechanisms.
Development experience in C/C++, Linux, RTOS, and Python.

This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
