Summary
We are recruiting for an IT Project Lead who must be a high-energy and highly motivated self-starter who executes strategic planning and projects with urgency and a priority on continuous improvement. Flexibility and ability to multi-task is necessary. This position will maintain key relationships with respective business/customer base, vendors and all areas of IT to provide exceptional service. The candidate should have the ability to self-manage and effectively coach/manage teams and vendors to complete projects and tasks, on-time, with little supervision. Manages and coordinates all development activities for the application landscape including but not limited to business area partnership for strategic alignment of technologies/tools, requirements definition, vendor evaluation, process reengineering, design, development, documentation, release management, and production support. Will have responsibility for managing multiple projects over more than one business area. Provides input into evaluations of other associates.
This role is onsite at our Corporate Salisbury, MD offices. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
On call: rotating primary on call for day support, full on call for nights and weekends, currently 8:00 a.m. Tuesday to 8:00 a.m. Tuesday (additional night and weekend may be occasionally required depending on project support needs).
The salary range for this position is $111,000 - $167,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Works with our Supply Chain business areas – focusing primarily on our Transportation and Logistics business units to fully understand functional requirements and project execution to support business needs.
Leads a team of IT staff to develop effective, efficient solutions which meet the requirements of the business, utilizing standard processes/documentation utilizing demonstrated proficiencies in project management.
Maximizes use of available technology to enhance and improve business processes.
Defines and maintains project resource requirements and works with resource managers and executives to secure the best talent.
Assists leadership in recruiting and developing a diverse work team to provide the best skills needed to support business and IT initiatives with a continued focus on continuous improvement.
Builds effective working relationships within Application Systems, other IT areas, and the business community.
Resource will be assigned projects as needed for supply chain-support.
Minimum Education
BS degree or equivalent related work experience in Supply Chain Management, Information Systems or Computer Science plus 8 -10 years related work experience.
Experience Requirements
REQUIRED:
Recognized expert or certification in Project Management utilizing WBS and Project management tools to manage projects/resources and budgets.
Must possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; as well as communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated proficiency in translating highly complex business problems into proposed solutions and present to business team (including executives) for direction forward.
A demonstrated progression in the IT systems development field from programming through systems development methodology and/or equivalent skills in leading technical professionals.
This position requires working from our corporate office in Salisbury, MD.
Experience Preferred
Experience with S4/Hana Supply Chain modules and business processes.
S4/Hana – Transportation Management and/or Transportation (TMS) experience is a strong plus.
Understanding of manufacturing and warehouse business processes (including inventory management and EDI) is also a plus.
Continuous improvement poultry industry experience (including poultry technology courses).
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Possible rotating weekly on-call.
Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
Some minor overnight travel, including travel to manufacturing plants, 3PLs and/or conferences to support strategic projects.
When in a plant environment:
• Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
• May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
• May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
• May be exposed to all chemicals found in poultry, food and processing plant.
• Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company
May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degree to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity
