Job Summary:Completes all activities by strictly following Good Clinical Practices (GCP) & all relevant current local, state, & federal laws, regulations, guidance, policy & procedure developed by the NU Institutional Review Board (IRB), Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), & the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH).This position will be housed in the Center for Community Health (CCH), which provides a home for a diverse array of academic investigators, community partners, and staff members, who are all dedicated to promoting health through the conduct and dissemination of community-engaged research. As a center with a presence in the both the Institute for Public Health and Medicine (IPHAM) and Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (NUCATS), CCH provides community and stakeholder engagement infrastructure across the research spectrum.Position DescriptionThis project will be conducted with the Mothers and Babies (MB) Program in the Center for Community Health. Mothers and Babies is a cognitive behavioral therapy-based intervention that aims to prevent postpartum depression among predominately low-income racial/ethnic minority women. This position focuses on the administration supporting two areas: (1) dissemination/scaling of the MB intervention and (2) research projects examining various aspects of MB effectiveness and implementation.The Research Study Coordinator will focus on research administrative and budget responsibilities for the MB training, implementation, and research/evaluation infrastructure as well as provide administration support across multiple MB research projects:Coordinate the training and evaluation infrastructure to support efforts to disseminate/scale MB nationally.Oversee implementation data collection and management for MB training and implementation.Oversee logistics for executing sponsored and non-sponsored research projects focused on disseminating/scaling MB nationally.Work with external partners to develop scopes of works and contracts for MB training, implementation, and evaluation services.Work with external research partners to coordinate MB activities and initiatives across academic institutions.Support the development of MB budgets, participant remuneration, and contracts for sponsored and non-sponsored research projects.Coordinate MB team cross team meetings and communications.Coordinate MB trainings and consultations and administrative tasks.Coordinate the maintenance of the MB website, quarterly newsletter, and social media accounts, as well as develop content for these communication platforms.Please note: Supervisor provides objectives, deadlines and specific instructions only for new, difficult, and/or unusual work. Work is reviewed upon completion and only occasionally to verify technical accuracy and compliance with practice, policy, and procedures. EE informs supervisor of on-going progress and/or potentially controversial matters.Specific Responsibilities
:TechnicalParticipates in the planning & conduct of research study including participant recruitment and retention.Obtains informed consentAdministers tests &/or questionnaires following protocols.Collects, compiles, tabulates & processes responses.Gathers information.AdministrationCollects, records, reviews & summarizes research data.Collates relevant mathematical results & prepares tables, charts & graphs reflecting relationships of multiple tests.Prepares reports for investigators and sponsors on recruitment status and other pertinent study data.Writes portions of grant applications & co-author scientific papers.Completes documents associated with current local, state, & federal regulatory guidelines, requirements, laws & research protocols.FinanceMay process payments for research participants per study protocol.Works with industry representatives to negotiate tentative grant funding.Coordinates reimbursements for expert panel travel, consultant pay, additional gift card orders, etc. & ensure costs remain within allotted grant budget.MiscellaneousPerforms other duties as assigned.Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)Exceptional organizational skills, time management efficiency, and personal accountabilityExcellent with Microsoft Office softwareExcellent interpersonal skillsExperience conducting evaluationExceptional and effective communication skills (oral and written)Experience with administrative dutiesPreferred Qualifications:Study in a field relevant to public health, early childhood, women's health, social work or psychology.Experience working with academic and non-academic partnersExperience supporting trainings and consultations with partnersExperience with administrative dutiesExperience managing budgetsExperience developing contractsPreferred Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities)Bilingual in English and SpanishKnowledge of REDCap and/or analytic software (i.e., SPSS, SAS, R)Knowledge of WordPress or similar platformsExperience with websites and social medial platformsTarget hiring range for this position will be between $19.89 to $24.86 per hour.
