THE OPPORTUNITY

This Senior Medical and Clinical Director position works out of Alameda, CA location. Abbott has a rich history of developing cutting edge technologies that enable consumers to monitor and manage their health and wellbeing. We are now embarking on an exciting next gen new venture of Biowearables that will build on that heritage and take it farther - leveraging biomarkers to provide wearers insights into their physical and mental state, ultimately driving to greater performance. The Lingo Biowearables business is the face and the future of the organization.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

•Contribute to leadership of medical affairs and clinical research teams including hiring, mission, strategy, goals, performance and budget. Report on outcomes to division leadership. Responsible for aspects of medical affairs and clinical research contributions to product direction and features, R&D pipeline prioritization and review.

• Contribute to leadership of medical affairs team in areas including medical claims matrix creation, literature reviews, medical and educational content creation across platforms, outreach to product users and commercial partners, scientific advisory board (SAB) creation and management, outreach to medical key opinion leaders and influencers. Represent division and product at conferences, at public events and in media appearances. Contribute to educational materials including in product content, web content, and social media content.

• Contribute to leadership of clinical research team in areas including overall clinical strategy, training of the team in human subjects research, planning and execution of clinical trials and real world evidence (RWE) studies, clinical protocol creation, recruitment and management of trial investigators, institutional review board (IRB) interactions, trial safety and adverse event reporting, clinical site agreements, trial budgets, data collection and biostatistics analysis, clinical trial outcomes reporting and publication.

• Responsible for aspects of medical and clinical team contributions to regulatory strategy, regulatory filings, quality management system reviews and reports, customer service responses and monitoring of customer safety, publications strategy, patent and intellectual property strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/BACKGROUND

• Doctorate Degree (± 19 years) MD required

• 10+ years of experience with expert level knowledge of medicine.

The base pay for this position is $211,600.00 – $423,200.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
