This individual has discretionary authority and responsibility for carrying out their job functions on behalf of the Dean, and exercises independent judgment in prioritizing work and problem solving. The position will work part-time up to 14 hours per week Monday through Friday in the mornings on site. The salary is $30/hour. Major Responsibilities Support the Dean and the Dean's Office Schedule, manage, plan, and prioritize the Dean's calendar Make travel arrangements for the Dean Plan meeting support on behalf of the Dean including managing meeting logistics, taking meeting minutes, communicating with attendees, reserving space, purchasing food, and preparing relevant materials; always considering the diverse population of constituents, and anticipating needs Complete all required financial documentation and reimbursement requests on behalf of the Dean and for purchases made on behalf of CCAPS Track and renew the Dean's memberships in multiple professional organizations Qualifications Required BA/BS and two years related experience to include project management. Or a combination of education and work experience to equal six years Experience handling sensitive and/or confidential information with tact and diplomacy Commitment to building a culture that respects and embraces diversity, inclusion, and equity Experience analyzing and solving complex situations and issues clearly, creatively, and critically Demonstrated attention to detail, thoroughness, and accuracy Experience successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, and calendaring software Preferred Prior experience at the University of Minnesota Prior experience in an executive assistant or similar role.
