We seek a motivated and experienced Multi-Site Assistant Property Manager to join our team at our quaint corporate office in Troy, Michigan.

Job Description

:

As a Corporate Leasing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of our low-income apartment properties. You will work closely with our Regional Managers to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, maintain high property management standards, and provide exceptional service to our residents.

Primary Responsibilities:

**** Support of the day-to-day operations of multiple low-income apartment properties from the corporate office. Support could include the following

Answer phones

Respond to email

Update the work order database

Collect rent

Schedule vendors

Process invoices

Process applications, certifications, and move-ins

Responsible for remote operations of property when local staff is on leave or absent.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including HUD guidelines and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) requirements.

Monitoring of companywide adherence to compliance requirements by running daily and weekly reports, reviewing, and communicating any deficiencies with the appropriate departments.

Participating in the on-boarding of new property managers by handling any cross over items.

Monitor property performance and develop marketing strategies to improve occupancy rates, resident satisfaction, and financial stability.

Collaborate with other departments, such as Compliance, Maintenance, Finance, and Administration, to ensure cohesive operations.

Attends training as required.

Successful completion of LIHTC and HUD training, including a passing score on the exam.

Fulfill all other assigned duties as deemed necessary and appropriate.

Qualifications:

Property management experience, focusing on low-income housing (preferred)

Knowledge of HUD guidelines, LIHTC, and other affordable housing programs (preferred)

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills (required)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team (required)

Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite (required)
