Overview
The Clinical Services Coordinator I provides support related to patient services in assigned area. Majority of work product is directly related to the delivery of patient services and is focused on providing day-to-day physician and clinic support to meet the needs of the program, clinic and patients served. Work activities are focused on gathering, maintaining, coordinating and exchanging health information related to the ongoing care and treatment of patient served in the clinic, program or department.
Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring follow up calls to patients and families are completed documentation of such patient contact is recorded accordingly.
Monitor all new and follow-up patients appointments using Schedule Generator and work with physicians, Care Center, families and patients to ensure proper scheduling related to the patient’s needs are met. Keeping physicians informed of schedule changes.
Answer telephones; greet visitors and staff, receiving faxes, sort and distributing mail to the appropriate personnel.
Complete applicable documentation when lab results are obtained so that nurses and providers have appropriate information.
Assist providers with completing prescription requests; fax or mail to appropriate place/person.
Process training forms in a timely fashion for new Fellows, Residents and Students.
Assist providers with dictations to ensure compliance with billing and regulatory requirements.
Assist managing provider’s calendar; schedule meetings, conferences and lectures.
Cross train and gain knowledge of NDM clinics so that individual skill set is broad enough to provide team coverage for the NDM support clinics and programs.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficiency with MS Office suite, including access, PowerPoint, Excel and the ability to type accurately at 60+words per minute.
Understands the regulations of HIPAA as they pertain to protected health information and has knowledge and ability to maintain and protect confidential information.
EDUCATION:
HS Diploma or GED required
AA degree or coursework in healthcare administration preferred
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two years previous administrative support experience required.
Minimum pay range
USD $38,906.00
Maximum pay range
USD $63,991.00
