51129Job DescriptionA Boston based client is seeking an excellent Psychiatrist to serve as the Medical Director of Recovery Services. An ideal candidate has experience with both pediatrics and adult care as the clinic has a wide scope of practice. This clinic provides acute behavioral health and psychiatric care.Required QualificationsGraduated from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degreeCurrent MA state medical licenseCompleted an accredited residency programCurrent DEA certificate3-5 years of experience as a psychiatrist, 2 years of medical leadership experienceBoard certified in psychiatryCurrent CPR certificationResponsibilitiesOversees the clinical operations of the department and day to day clinical issues that ariseMentors and coaches providers and holds them accountable for the standard of clinical care and clinical documentationCollaborates with local CBHC for any patient care workflows and patient transfersMaintains a clinical schedule within the departmentDevelopment and updating departmental clinical policies and proceduresOversees Clinical Quality Management of the departmentAssists the department in annual performance improvement projectsCollaborate with the IT department for data reporting and validating IT reportsAssists in the clinical portion of grant writing and reportingWorks closely with coding and billing departments to assure proper coding and fund allocationFosters an environment of service excellence and reviews patient surveys and resolves patient complaintsParticipates in hiring, orientation and onboarding of new providersMeets with the provider team at least weekly and maintains continuous and timely communication of any new items or updates to patient care or workflowUtilizes the clinical leader team for support and guidance on complex issuesProvide psychiatric consultation to psychiatric NPs and BH providersAssists administrative director with the annual budgetPerforms annual reviews, Ongoing ProfessionalPerformance Evaluations (OPPEs), FocusedProfessional Performance Evaluations (FPPEs), and peer review.About Provider HealthcareProvider Healthcare is a prominent healthcare recruitment firm that places highly qualified and skilled healthcare professionals in excellent employment opportunities across the country.
