ResponsibilitiesThe Human Resources Generalist manages day to day operations and provides a wide variety of complex Human Resources support to all levels in the organization, ensuring the comprehensive administration of human resources policy and procedures. The position performs duties in a variety of functional core human resources areas including employee relations, classification/compensation, employee development, acquisition projects, and legal compliance with applicable state and federal guidelines. This positon provides collaboration as an internal consultant on a broad range of cross-functional HR projects. Assists management team with employee welfare and recreation services and serves as an adviser to executive staff in personnel implications of policies, programs, and proposed organization changes. Assists with disputes and grievances and recommends necessary disciplinary actions, provides support to department heads and employees to resolve employee relations issues, will conduct investigations on employee concerns, claims of harassment, hostile work environment, discrimination, retaliation, breach of confidentiality, etc.; analyzes, classifies and evaluates jobs. Will perform special projects as assigned.
QualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Required qualifications:
1.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or closely related field.
2.
4 year’s recent health care experience in a Human Resources Department.
3.
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of material with attention to detail.
4.
Computer knowledge that includes Excel, Word, Outlook.
5.
Knowledge of state and federal employment law.
6.
Ability to travel required.
Preferred qualifications:
1.
PHR, SPHR or relevant human resources certifications or advanced degree preferred.
2. Experience handling employee and labor relations and workplace investigations highly preferred.
