Willing to foster a collaborative, supportive environment promoting growth and teamwork.SUMMARY :Supervises and coordinates activities of personnel involved in a variety of clinical areas. Verifies that patients’ needs are met and evaluates care provided. Assigns duties to professional and auxiliary personnel in accordance with instructions. Oversees maintenance of patient clinical records and compiles reports on medical services rendered. Maintains established inventory standards for solutions, supplies, and equipment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :Assists in hiring of qualified personnel, skilled and non-skilled, according to position descriptions.Supervises professional, technical, and/or clerical employees; prepares work schedules, staff assignments, and observes performance to provide input for formal evaluations and recommendations for personnel actions.Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; oversees rewards; disciplines employees, addresses complaints, and resolves problems.Participates in maintenance, completion, and submission of reports and records as required by policy, federal, state, and local regulation; maintains compliance of department to Standards of Operation.Demonstrates leadership during schedule conflicts, unplanned changes in activity, last minute deadlines, and crisis situations.Applies analytical reasoning, rational problem-solving skills, using evidence-based information; acts as a resource to other staff members.Maintains established inventory standards for solutions, supplies and equipment.Adheres to and supports team members in exhibiting TMCH values of integrity, community, compassion, and dedication.Adheres to TMC organizational and department-specific safety, confidentiality, values, policies and standards.Performs related duties as assignedOutpatient Hospice:Supervises line staff in an Outpatient Hospice setting. Facilitates hospital transfers (ED) and monitors care plans. Makes home visits; covers team as necessary. Conducts required annual visits with outpatient nurses.

Certification:

Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse (CPHN) preferred.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

Associate’s degree in nursing required; Bachelor’s (BSN) degree preferred.EXPERIENCE :

Four (4) years of related experience; preferably in a lead or supervisory role.LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION :

Current RN licensure permitting work in the State of Arizona required.

Additional certifications may be required based on department.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :Knowledge of patient care best practices.

Knowledge of library development and purchasing practices.

Knowledge of inventory control.

Skill in evaluating performance and operations and making recommendations for improvement.

Skill in training and leading others.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to complete routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to listen and accurately interpret others’ communication or instructions to take appropriate action.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to calculate figures and compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs and apply basic algebraic concepts.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
