ROLE IMPACTThe
Senior Web Application Developer
will leverage data and reporting to support the rollout of various digital platforms within a cross-functional team, collaborating with multiple business units, shared services, and stakeholders to research, analyze, develop, test, measure, and continuously improve digital assets. Beyond joining a diverse and knowledgeable IT team, this position offers the exciting opportunity to see projects through from start to finish as a full stack developer whose work will make a visible technological and business impact at The American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR).CORE RESPONSIBILITIESDesign new web applications; build user interface applications and back-end databases using various programming and scripting languagesCreate prototypes and functional specifications for projects including project charters; work with a multidisciplinary team to define project scope and requirementsAuthor, test, deploy complex web pagesResponsible for integrating third party APIs or modules as beneficial to businessDetermine appropriate programming languages, technologies and data structure/flow; identify new technologies based on the company's needsDevelop and maintain the integrity of new database schema including, but not limited to, tables, constraints, keys (primary, unique, and foreign), well-performing indexes, complex queries, and stored proceduresGather feedback from design and technical staff on website development needsCreate technical methodologies for engineering solutions to web-based development problems; make suggestions on creating web-based technical standards for specific websites and the company as a wholeAnalyze and debug existing web applications; evaluate the utility of existing applications: costs and benefits of replacing or retaining applications, including assessing security risksQUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISEBachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, business administration or a related field or equivalent working experience - usually 5 - 7+ yearsPrevious experience collaborating with cross functional teams including business stakeholders, subject matter experts, IT enterprise architects, PR/marketing, and external technology partnersStrong logic and reasoning: succinctly define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variablesRelentless attention to detail with exceptional organizational / communication skillsPassion for leveraging market research, complex data and reporting to solve organizational needs with technology, process, product, and planningBelief in a culture of collaboration, transparency, and trust across the team; flexible, embraces change and excels in a fast-paced environmentComputer Skills:Proficiency in the following languages: Blazor / ASP.NET CORE / ASP.NET MVC / ASP.NET Web Forms / C# / CSS / HTML 4 and 5 / JavaScript / SQLWorking knowledge of the following tools and libraries: Cloud services including Microsoft Azure / Dapper / Entity Framework / Gulp / jQuery / JSON / LINQ / Microsoft Unit Testing Framework / Microsoft Unity / NHibernate / Razor / Team Foundation Version Control / WPFFamiliarity with MS products including Access / Azure SQL Server / SQL Server Management Studio / Visual Studio / IIS Web Server / Artificial IntelligenceABOUT ABPMRFounded in 1947, The American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation supports and serves the physicians who have gained or are working to achieve board certification in PM&R.
