Role Overview
- The client is seeking candidates for entry-level Structural Engineering positions. A Bachelor's degree in structural, civil, or architectural engineering is required, with a Master's degree preferred. Applicants should have completed coursework in structural analysis and design, and while an EIT/FE certificate is preferred, it is not mandatory
Role Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis and design of structural systems for various building types, adhering to relevant building codes.
- Contribute to all aspects of building structures and building envelope systems, focusing on materials such as steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, timber, glass, and aluminum.
- Perform calculations and analysis of loads (e.g., dead loads, live loads, wind loads) to help project teams determine the necessary strength and stability of structures.
- Examine existing structures to document as-built construction details.
- Visit construction sites to monitor progress and assess the quality of structural drawings, providing solutions for any site-related issues that arise.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation to share engineering findings, analysis, and recommendations with project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, to achieve project objectives and address technical challenges.
- Maintain thorough records of design specifications, calculations, and the solutions implemented throughout the project.
- Utilize CAD/BIM software to produce detailed structural drawings and plans for construction projects.
Key Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in structural, civil, or architectural engineering is required, with a Master's degree preferred. Applicants should have completed coursework in structural analysis and design, and while an EIT/FE certificate is preferred, it is not mandatory
- Candidates should have experience with AutoCAD (Revit experience is a plus but not required) and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Familiarity with other software programs Rhino, SketchUp is preferred
