Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Structural Engineer Project Manager at our office in Cedar Grove, NJ. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for leading their team in structural analysis, calculations and design. The role requires the use of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and Revit software to generate design and construction documents. The engineer will work closely with the architectural team to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the client's expectations. As a Project Manager, you will provide guidance to staff engineers and BIM drafters to implement the structural design of wood, concrete or steel structures, varying from townhouses to high rises. Experience in all typologies is preferred, knowledge in at least one typology is required.

Qualifications

  • Years of Experience: 3 - 5+ years
  • Strong background in Residential and Commercial Building Structural Engineering Design
  • Proven experience in Structural Analysis and calculations
  • Proven experience in preparing construction document sets
  • Proficient with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) & REVIT
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Proficient in Code Analysis & Design
  • Proficient in Structural software (i.e. RAM, ETABS, STAAD, etc.)
  • Proven Experience in management of other team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
  • E.I.T. license is required, PE or currently pursuing PE license is preferred
