The role & company
- Civil takeoffs for utility-scale solar projects
- Setup and lead descope meetings with civil subcontractors to verify estimates
- Setup and lead civil estimate review with management
- Assist design team and owners to make intelligent/informed decisions to keep the design program and project budget on track as it relates to civil / site work scopes of work
- Review final construction drawings and specifications to determine final scope of work and lead pre-bid/post bid trade contractor meetings
- Establish and maintain good business relationships
- Provide support to the team, including training of Junior Staff
Requirements
- Solar Estimation experienced required
- 3+ years of civil estimating
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related discipline
- Proficient in estimating civil material quantity takeoffs utilizing civil software
- Proficient in estimating civil earthwork (cut/fill) takeoffs
- Proficient in reading civil drawings including contours, topographical surveys, CAD files, etc.
- Strong understanding in civil drainage features (swales, basins, berms, etc.)
- Strong understanding reviewing civil studies including hydrology studies, stormwater management, flood depth studies, etc.
