ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Senior Interior Designer will play a key role in leading and overseeing interior design projects from concept to completion. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced professional who can conceptualize innovative design solutions, collaborate effectively with clients and project teams, and provide mentorship to junior staff members. The Senior Interior Designer will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to design standards and project timelines, and delivering exceptional design outcomes that exceed client expectations.
THE HEART OF YOUR ROLE: RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leadership: Lead the design process from concept to completion, ensuring that all designs meet the client's requirements, budget, and timeline constraints. Delegates design tasks to junior staff with oversight.
- Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other team members to develop design concepts and solutions.
- Space Planning and Layouts: Develop and present design proposals, including sketches, renderings, and 3D models and material presentation boards.
- Material and Finish Selection: Select and specify furniture, fixtures, finishes, lighting, and other materials to use in the project. Stays informed of current relevant products, materials and processes.
- Stay Current: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in interior design. Integrate innovative ideas into the firm's design processes.
- 3D Rendering and Visualization: Produce high-quality 3D renderings and visualizations to effectively communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders. Utilize advanced design software to enhance presentations.
- Documentation and Specifications: Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and construction documents.Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all project-related documentation.
- Project Management: Manage and coordinate small to large tenant improvement projects from conception to completion. Collaborate with project managers, senior designers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
- Budget Oversight: Work closely with project managers to monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring financial goals are met.
- Site Supervision: Conduct site visits to oversee the implementation of design concepts, address any issues, and ensure adherence to design intent.
- Construction Administration: Is familiar with and responsive to the construction of administrative processes such as FRI’s, ASI’s Submittal review and approval.
- Business Development: Participates in quarterly business development activities such as client and association functions.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in interior design, architecture, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite, Sketchup, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software.
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
