AI System or Design Architect

MediaTek SoC System Architecture team explores the system architecture and defines the product specifications for all MediaTek product lines. MediaTek SOC System Architecture team is a multidisciplinary group working on the system architecture of multiple product lines, defining the product specification and exploring innovations for better user experience. Given the tremendous breakthrough in AI technology, we are looking for a leader to define the future system architecture for AI applications, including using AI to change our methodology of architecture exploration.

Job Description:

• Lead the system SOC architecture exploration to improve the AI applications across different verticals, including AI training and inference. Explore and deliver key technologies and align the roadmap with different teams or vendors of the ECO system.
• Envision the future methodology of exploring the SoC system architecture using generative AI technology and lead this pathfinding

Requirements:

• Understand the popular AI model
• Understand the key AI use-case from the edge to the Cloud
• Understand the AI technology and TPU/NPU computing architecture
• Experienced performance analysis of the system to drive the key technology and opportunity for the next-generation system
• They will be able to present the technology roadmap, foresee future challenges, and support the internal technology teams in transitioning from their current architecture to the next-generation architecture.
• Strong communication skills (written/verbal) and executive presence
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in AI-related technology development with 5+ years of experience in subsystem, SoC, or system architecture planning.
• They will need to interact closely with the MediaTek Taiwan teams
• Location: San Jose or San Diego

Salary range: $180,000 - $250,000

Employee may be eligible for performance bonus, short and long term incentive programs. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
