Job Description:
Our client is seeking a candidate with extensive cybersecurity experience across various disciplines. This role requires a self-starter who is well-versed in industry-wide threats and risks (e.g., OWASP). The ideal candidate should have a blend of architecture and hands-on engineering experience. They will be expected to deploy architecture, write scripts, and work with Infrastructure as Code. Outstanding communication and collaboration skills are essential to work cross-functionally with CIS and broader tech teams enterprise-wide.
Responsibilities:
- Advise stakeholders and translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions.
- Design security architectures and develop patterns and frameworks aligned with business and security needs.
- Lead initiatives related to modernizing data technology and cloud information architecture.
- Optimize and integrate cybersecurity tools and capabilities within existing infrastructure.
- Stay informed about cybersecurity trends, risk & threat intelligence, and governance practices.
- Provide technical leadership in vulnerability management, secure development lifecycles, and security operations/engineering.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 10+ years of hands-on technical experience in information security, focusing on security architecture, vulnerability management, secure development lifecycle, and/or security operations/engineering.
- 5+ years of cloud security experience across data, application, IAM, and infrastructure domains on multi-cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA highly desired; AWS Security and/or Azure Security certifications preferred.
- Familiarity with major security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, PCI, FedRAMP).
- Strong experience in Big-Data security/analytics, application security, and IAM.
- Preferred experience in data governance and data security best practices.
- Proficiency in data security frameworks, data quality frameworks, metadata management, and data catalogs.
- In-depth understanding of cloud-native security tools (e.g., SIEM, CNAPP, CSPM, runtime monitoring).
- Hands-on experience with DevOps and CI/CD tooling, containers, and microservices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IT architectural concepts and security patterns.
- Proven ability to assess and ensure system resilience and dependability.
