Construction Superintendent

Environmental Construction, Inc. is a leading general engineering contractor operating since 1986. Environmental Construction, Inc. is engaged in building public works projects in Southern California. We specialize in in the following markets: (1) water and waste water improvements, (2) athletic complexes and fields, (3) parks and recreation, (4) landfill gas collection systems, and (5) general site improvements. ECI is presently seeking full-time experienced superintendents to effectively plan and manage the day-to-day operations on the construction job-site. Experience on public works projects is required

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of sequencing of construction work in site development and/or mechanical water/waste water projects.
  • Thorough understanding of project documents, plans and specs, and special requirements or conditions of job site.
  • Supervise field crews to ensure that safety requirements and workmanship are in accordance with the plans and specs requirements
  • Advise management of potential problems, work interferences, schedule conflicts/difficulties, and delays.
  • Anticipate and resolve project issues and schedule difficulties.
  • Responsible for job site safety and cleanliness, implementing, enforcing and effectively managing safety policy and procedures.
  • Supervise subcontractors to ensure that safety requirements are adequately met.
  • Develop and oversee punch list.
  • Ensure project materials and workmanship meet the project Quality Standards.
  • Ensure that required inspections are completed at the appropriate time
  • Maintain the project’s daily Job Logs/photos.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with Agency.
  • Monitor sub trade work to ensure the plans and specs requirements are met.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience construction field experience as a superintendent
  • Experienced with construction management and scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Viewpoint Teams
  • Solid computer skills, with working knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Project, Excel, and Word
  • OSHA-30 certification
  • Must be willing to travel to job-site
