This position is part of SKBA's IT Shared service but actually functions as a member of the BlueOval SK IT team.

BlueOval SK is a historic investment between two global companies, Ford Motor Company and SK On, who share the ambitious vision of electrifying the future of mobility. Together, they invested a total of $11.4 billion dollars to form a Joint Venture company called BlueOval SK. By utilizing SK On’s battery technology the company aspires to make the world’s most safe and dependable electric vehicle (EV) batteries for the Ford and Lincoln brands.

The partnership is building three EV battery plants. One plant is located in Stanton, Tennessee at BlueOval City and twin plants will stand in Glendale, Kentucky at BlueOval SK Battery Park.

Role and Responsibilities:

• MES Process Design & Implementation: Analyze, design, develop, test, and implement improvements or innovations pertaining to the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) processes and functions, specifically focused on electrode, assembly, formation, and module-based standard information.

• Production System Management: Oversee the detailed production planning and operations, leveraging the capabilities of the MES system. Operate local sites (SOR/SOP) and provide immediate support during system malfunctions.

• Manufacturing Process Establishment: Define and guide the establishment of efficient manufacturing system processes within the realms of process management, quality management, and equipment management.

• Production Activity Monitoring: Harness MES systems to track production performance, ensuring the alignment of activities with established standards and benchmarks.

• Training & Support: Spearhead user training sessions on MES systems and offer consistent support to team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and system efficiency.

• Troubleshooting & Prevention: Act proactively to address manufacturing site issues, troubleshoot system anomalies, and strategize preventive measures.

• This position would require 5% to 25% travel annually between partner manufacturing sites in other states (TN, GA).

Minimum Requirements (skills required to do this job; list at least 3 that are quantifiable):

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Must have minimum of 1+ years of hands-on experience in the manufacturing industry, predominantly centered on MES systems.

o Entry: 0 to 2 year hands-on work experience

o Junior: 3 to 6 year hands-on work experience

o Senior: 7+ year hands-on work experience

• Adeptness in designing and implementing MES systems(EV Battery, Automobile or any kinds of manufacturing industry).

• Mastery in database management, specifically in Oracle/SQL Server environments.

• An intrinsic ability to collaborate and contribute within a team setting.

• Stellar teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.

• Familiarity with cloud-based ERP and Groupware solutions.

• In-depth knowledge of administrative best practices and process optimization

Preferred Requirements:

• IT development expertise, notably in .NET, C#, JAVA, etc., with an emphasis on system development for semiconductor/battery manufacturing industries.

• Rich experience in interfacing with production/inspection equipment and adeptness in PLC/HSMS/TIB communication protocols.

• Comprehensive understanding of administrative processes and their intricate integration points within an ERP.

• An analytical and problem-solving mindset focused on enhancing administrative efficiency and ERP Integration.

• Consider detailing secondary skills, certifications, or experiences that could augment the role but are not obligatory.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Bilingual in both Korean and English
