Vehicle Support Engineer

The Vehicle Support Engineer on the operations team will be actively engaged in the operational uptime of our fleet. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert, adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, documenting troubleshooting processes, and providing real-time support for daily operations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth root cause analysis through comprehensive log review to identify and resolve fleet issues.
- Develop, update, and maintain a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for technicians, incorporating newly diagnosed faults and their resolutions.
- Perform hardware bring-up and validation procedures for new vehicle components.
- Design and implement diagnostic procedures to streamline future troubleshooting processes.
- Historical review of vehicle/fleet data identifying trends and issues.
- Collaborate with engineering design teams to enhance tooling and improve issue detection capabilities.
- Develop and implement effective countermeasures across the fleet to prevent recurring issues.
- Define and capture essential data points to validate issue resolution and measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
- Engage in cross-functional collaboraion to drive continuous improvement in vehicle performance and reliability.
- Availability for night and weekend shifts as needed, with advanced notice provided.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Experience with low/high voltage circuits, Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS), and how to safely troubleshoot.
- Understanding of hardware and software systems architecture, communications to support in an operations setting.
- Ability to comprehend schematics, electrical diagrams, connector end views/pinout.
