Location: Houston, TX (zip code 77079) onsite 2-3x a week + Travel throughout the United States is 50% of the time (typically 10 days a month). Example: One week in Houston, next week traveling, next in Houston, next traveling, etc.

Pay Rate: 30-50/hr (Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Resolve issues with software, browsers, files, drivers, disk space, monitors, printers, etc.
Perform software upgrades
Cyber security software installations, upgrades, and remediation.
Server and PC patches and updates.
Verify backups are running on schedule and restores are available. Audit virtual machines, make adjustments, and resolve issues.
Assist in the on-boarding of new software, hardware, and services.
Set up new PCs, laptops, and tablets.
Assist in maintaining all MRC mission critical technology.
Provide technical support for customers, salesmen, and technicians on NVRS, Interactive systems, and network connectivity issues.
Be a service technician when needed & participate in the technician on-call rotation.
Assist in the training of service technicians and coordinators.
Assist service coordinators by providing phone support to customers.
Position Summary:
You are responsible for overseeing the maintenance and reliability of company networks and computer systems. You will be responsible for contributing to the management of end user systems and to the networks that the end user systems are operating within. In addition to helping manage existing systems, you will be contributing to the migration of systems into the company’s managed environment that have been acquired through expansion and growth of the company.
• Perform as System Administrator for Windows Servers.
• Perform basic functions and basic administration duties within the Azure cloud environment.
• Contribute to the deployment and management of company-owned end-user equipment (laptops, desktops).
• Contribute to the deployment and management of company network devices (switches, routers, Wi-Fi access points.
• Troubleshoot, identify, isolate, and report root cause analysis of technical issues.
• Contribute to the migration of Windows 10/11 systems from isolated Active Directory environments to the company’s managed Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID).
• Provide exceptional customer support for and during the migration of end-user computer systems into the company’s environment, as well as for any issues reported post migration.
• Develop and maintain technical processes and procedures as needed.
• Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts through clear and effective communication.
• Test new configuration changes that impact end-users to ensure compatibility and minimize impact.
• Support local branch environment(s) as needed, working to fix and eliminate recurring issues, standardize equipment, and create documentation describing the branch environment and all edge cases.
