We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior IT Business Analyst to lead the selection and implementation of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This role will be pivotal in translating business needs into IT deliverables, ensuring that technology solutions align with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, project management, and ERP systems, coupled with exceptional communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

ERP Selection:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and objectives for the ERP system.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential ERP solutions that meet business needs.
  • Lead the evaluation and selection process, including vendor demonstrations, scoring, and final recommendations.
  • Develop and present business cases to senior management to secure approval and funding.

Implementation Leadership:

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of ERP implementation, including planning, execution, testing, and go-live.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of the ERP system with existing processes and technologies.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Manage risks and issues throughout the implementation process, ensuring timely resolution.

Ongoing Business Needs Translation:

  • Act as a liaison between business units and IT, ensuring that business requirements are accurately captured and translated into technical specifications.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather and document business needs and process workflows.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including business requirements, use cases, process maps, and training materials.
  • Analyze and prioritize ongoing business requests and enhancements related to IT systems.

Change Management and Training:

  • Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions during system implementations and upgrades.
  • Design and deliver training programs for end-users, ensuring they are equipped to utilize the new ERP system effectively.
  • Gather user feedback post-implementation to drive continuous improvement.

Performance Measurement:

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of ERP implementation and ongoing IT projects.
  • Regularly review and report on project status, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, IT teams, and external vendors.
  • Actively participate in governance meetings and present updates to stakeholders at various levels.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on ERP systems.
  • Proven experience in leading ERP selection and implementation projects.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and systems integration.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP) are a plus.
