Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Structures Engineer to join our team on a newly awarded $150M NCDOT heavy highway project in Asheville, NC. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Structures Engineer will be instrumental in overseeing the structural aspects of the project, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate structural engineering efforts with the Project Manager and cross-functional teams.
• Review and approve structural designs, calculations, and plans in compliance with NCDOT standards.
• Oversee and monitor construction progress on-site, identifying and addressing technical challenges.
• Conduct quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on all structural components.
• Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure structural integrity and project efficiency.
• Prepare reports, documentation, and updates to ensure smooth project communication.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (PE license preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, with a focus on highway and bridge structures.
• Familiarity with NCDOT standards and regulations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
