Business Data Analyst
Scope of Work
• Gather and analyze diverse sets of data from multiple sources and stakeholders. o Examples: - Review Commissioners Court material and identify motions relevant to the department. - Review Audit reports and extract action plans.
• Organize and maintain compliance data in applicable trackers/databases.
• Periodically re-check sources for compliance related updates.
• Schedule and conduct periodic check-ins with stakeholders for compliance related updates.
• Assist with dashboard generation and maintenance.
• Assist team gather and analyze information about key departmental business processes, their owners, interactions, inputs, and outputs.
Role and Responsibilities:
Must have:
• 3+ years’ experience in a business analyst role in an IT organization.
• Solid documenter with attention to details.
• Solid experience with Microsoft Office products, inclusive but not limited to O365 platform, Teams, and SharePoint.
• In-Office position (downtown, Houston, TX) Desired:
• Business Analyst Certification, for example CAP, CBAP, CBDA, CFLBA, PBA, or equivalent.
• Experience with MS Visio or similar tool.
• Previous experience in a Compliance role.
Bonus:
Experience with Quickbase, PowerBI, or Snowflake is a plus.

Present data to stakeholders and decision-makers in a clear and compelling way. Communicate insights to executives and cross-functional teams.
- Collaboration
Work with business leaders and stakeholders to define problems and opportunities. Work cross-departmentally on data-driven strategies.
