A Senior UI/UX Designer job in Boston, MA is available through IntePros. Candidates will be supporting User Interface efforts within the User-Centered Design team as part of the Systems Center of Excellence, working in a fast-paced environment with a team of human factors engineers. This role will work on exciting, challenging, and fast-paced projects to support the Surgical Operating Unit. Candidates will be focusing on concepts and user interface design solutions that align with surgeons’ and surgical staff’s expectations and abilities, with a particular eye on safety and ease of use. Specifically, in this position, you will be responsible for maintaining and/or improving user experience reducing usability risks for patients and surgical staff, improving usability workflows, and adhering to our brand guidelines for digital interfaces.
This is a six-month contract assignment.
This role can be on-site or Hybrid.
This role will pay up to $65hr D.O.Q.
Sr UI/UX Designer job responsibilities include:
- Defining the Digital User Interface and implementing the Surgical Operating Unit’s Design system for complex medical devices in the Surgical Operating Unit’s product portfolio.
- Participating in research activities to identify user needs/requirements and translating those findings, and insights into design solutions.
- Participating in decision-making on product features and functionality partnering with Product Management, Engineering, and the Research & Technology teams.
- Working with agile teams to collaborate closely with software engineers, copywriters, and UX designers.
- Participating in concept definition for new products and platforms using “systems thinking” and user-centered design methodologies.
- Conceptualizing and visualizing product designs and physical interactions using Figma, mocking up digital prototypes using Figma or Principal.
- Creating, and improving wireframes, prototypes, style guides, and user flows, as well as effectively communicating your interaction ideas using Figma, Miro, and PowerPoint.
- Creating detailed final design documentation and support for software engineering handoffs and for design requirements within other shared platforms (Jama, Jira, etc.)
- Developing ideas based on design thinking, user research, heuristic principles, and accessibility standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree?
- Must have experience with Figma, Principal, Miro, Jama, and Jira.
- May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower-level professionals.
- May be responsible for entire projects or processes within the job area.
