Job Summary:
As an IT Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our IT department, acting as a senior resource across all facets of IT. You will focus on leading high-level initiatives, particularly in system integrations. Your expertise in System Design, Implementation, Maintenance, and Troubleshooting will ensure the smooth operation and enhancement of our IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integration Leadership: Serve as the primary resource during all phases of integration projects, from initial due diligence through to full migration and integration of systems.
- Migration Planning and Execution: Plan and execute complex file, mail, and VOIP migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Remote Implementation: Travel to remote sites as a key member of the implementation team, leading IT initiatives and ensuring successful system rollouts.
- System Design and Improvement: Design and implement new solutions, continuously improving the resilience, scalability, and performance of our IT environment.
- System Monitoring and Maintenance: Conduct regular monitoring and maintenance of all hardware, server resources, systems, and critical IT processes to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Technical Support and Collaboration: Work closely with the IT team to provide high-level technical support, share expertise, and collaborate on complex issues to deliver top-tier IT services.
Necessary Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in IT systems engineering, with a strong focus on system integrations and migrations.
- Proficiency in system design, implementation, and troubleshooting across various IT environments.
- Strong knowledge of server and network infrastructure, including hardware, software, and cloud technologies such as O365, SharePoint, Azure, Intune, Active Directory, next-generation firewalls, virtualization, and SAN technologies.
- Experience with VOIP systems and migration workflows such as facilitating ports
- Willingness to travel to remote sites as required.
