Software Development Engineer in Test
Our client is a banking institution based in Boston, MA looking to hire a Software Development Engineer in Test. This individual will lead the overall vision, development, and ongoing strategy of products, with a focus on leveraging Generative AI and other top of the market methods in data science, machine learning, and analytics. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders. This role is fully remote.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, create test plans, and define test cases
- Identify, document, and track defects
- Work closely with development teams to resolve issues and ensure high-quality software releases
- Contribute to the improvement of testing processes, tools, best practices, and advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle
- Develop and execute performance tests to ensure scalability, reliability, and responsiveness of applications.
- Ensure Seamless integration of various components and systems, validating end-to-end functionality and performance
- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for tools, frameworks, test plans, test cases and test results
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, related field, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in software development and test automation in a similar role
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python
- Deep understating of AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, IAM, EBS, Aurora, KMS, Cloudwatch
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and testing principles
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab, or Azure DevOps
- Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner or similar.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and microservices architecture
