Software Development Engineer in Test

Our client is a banking institution based in Boston, MA looking to hire a Software Development Engineer in Test. This individual will lead the overall vision, development, and ongoing strategy of products, with a focus on leveraging Generative AI and other top of the market methods in data science, machine learning, and analytics. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders. This role is fully remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, create test plans, and define test cases
  • Identify, document, and track defects
  • Work closely with development teams to resolve issues and ensure high-quality software releases
  • Contribute to the improvement of testing processes, tools, best practices, and advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Develop and execute performance tests to ensure scalability, reliability, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Ensure Seamless integration of various components and systems, validating end-to-end functionality and performance
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for tools, frameworks, test plans, test cases and test results

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in software development and test automation in a similar role
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python
  • Deep understating of AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, IAM, EBS, Aurora, KMS, Cloudwatch
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies and testing principles
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab, or Azure DevOps
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner or similar.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and microservices architecture
