About the Role
Job Title: Quality Engineer (Data)
Key Responsibilities:
- Testing datasets for completeness, accuracy, and consistency using SQL, Python, or other data manipulation tools.
- Creating and running checks for issues like duplicates, missing values, data type mismatches, and outliers to maintain data reliability.
- Validating Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to ensure data flows correctly through pipelines without errors or inconsistencies.
- Developing automated scripts to routinely check data quality and identify issues early.
- Investigating data discrepancies, tracing them back to the source, and working with data engineering teams to correct issues.
- Creating and maintaining documentation on data QA processes, standards, and quality metrics.
- Working closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to address data requirements and maintain quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R, with a solid understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and data structures.
- Familiarity with tools like Airflow, Talend, Informatica, and data quality frameworks like Great Expectations.
- A keen eye for data inconsistencies and the ability to perform detailed analysis.

Location: Dallas, TX
Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $95,000 – $110,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
