Innovative Legal Services (ILS) is a full-service law firm that specializes in commercial law and employment law. Our attorneys are experienced litigators and counselors with decades of expertise across a wide array of industries. We are currently hiring a Junior Litigation Associate with 1-2 years of California litigation practice and active admission to the California Bar. Pay is competitive, at $110,000--$140,000+ depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Litigate and negotiate on behalf of clients in legal proceedings
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Prepare for and attend court hearings, depositions, and trials
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the litigation process
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide legal advice
  • Manage and prioritize multiple cases simultaneously
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the CA Bar
  • 1-2 years of California litigation practice
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Mandarin language proficiency preferred but not required
  • First or second chair trial experience preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with federal litigation preferred but not required
  • Recent writing sample required

Compensation and Benefits:

  • 1550 billable hours
