Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Infrastructure IT Project Manager to oversee and drive the successful delivery of complex IT infrastructure projects. This role requires strong project management skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all infrastructure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget while meeting organizational goals and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution
- Lead and manage IT infrastructure projects, from planning through to execution and delivery, ensuring that all milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
- Scope & Budget Management
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements. Track project progress and adjust timelines, resources, or scope as needed to ensure successful project completion.
- Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (executive leadership, IT teams, and other departments) and external vendors or clients to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
- Risk & Issue Management
- Identify potential risks and issues early in the project lifecycle, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project success.
- Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and mentor cross-functional project teams, ensuring that each team member understands their role and responsibilities within the project.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and risk assessments. Provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance
- Ensure that the final delivery meets quality standards, aligns with business objectives, and satisfies stakeholder expectations.
- Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring deliverables are met and vendor performance aligns with contract terms.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a must.
- Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in managing IT infrastructure projects, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.
- Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components (servers, networking, data storage, cloud technologies, etc.), project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall), and enterprise architecture.
- Communication
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming project challenges.
- Leadership
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in managing diverse teams, including IT professionals, contractors, and third-party vendors.
