Job Description: Azure Security Architect

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Azure Cyber Security Architect / Principal with extensive Azure cybersecurity experience to join our team. The Lead Azure Cyber Security Architect / Principal will lead a team of .NET Azure Security Developer Consultants in remediating security risks identified by tools such as Wiz.io. This individual will apply their deep understanding of Azure and .NET to architect frameworks and processes to improve the organization’s ability to remediate security risks in older applications and infrastructure. The Lead Cyber Security Architect / Principal will also serve as the primary liaison between the security development team and the organization’s broader cybersecurity, application development, and infrastructure teams, ensuring alignment and understanding across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Security Best Practices / Mentorship: Mentor and lead development teams to implement security best practices or remediations for .NET solutions hosted in Azure, enforcing secure coding techniques, authentication and authorization practices, and effective data protection methods, etc.
  • Management
    Manage the team to ensure timely and efficient resolution.

  • Cross-Departmental Liaison
    Act as the primary point of contact between the security team, infrastructure, and other key stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and ensuring alignment on the status of remediation efforts and strategies.

  • Process Optimization for Risk Response
    Develop and implement streamlined processes that allow for efficient responses when security risks are identified. These processes should ensure clarity and enable teams to act quickly and effectively.

  • Assess and Advise on App Reconfigurations
    Evaluate whether identified security issues require application reconfigurations or if alternative measures can resolve them. Provide strategic input on the best course of action based on technical analysis and risk level.

  • Establish Security Policies & Best Practices
    Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices for application and infrastructure security. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal security objectives. Advocate for and implement security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle, fostering a culture of security awareness.

  • Incident Response Leadership
    In the event of a security incident, guide teams through the risk remediation process, ensuring appropriate and timely actions are taken to resolve the issue while minimizing impact.

  • Stakeholder Communication
    Communicate complex security issues and risks to executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner, securing buy-in for key initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Extensive Azure Cybersecurity Experience
    10+ years in Azure cybersecurity roles, with a focus on security architecture, risk management, and incident response in complex enterprise environments.

  • .NET : Deep knowledge of .NET including older versions of .NET Framework & .NET Core, as well as best practices for enforcing security in applications
  • Team Leadership
    Proven experience leading technical security teams, specifically in development-focused roles and application security, with a strong ability to manage and mentor team members.

  • Security Frameworks
    Expertise in building and implementing security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or similar, including the ability to adapt frameworks to unique organizational needs.

  • Application Security & Development
    Deep understanding of secure coding practices, application security, and how vulnerabilities arise within development pipelines.

  • Cloud & Infrastructure Security
    Advanced knowledge of Azure, container security, and infrastructure security.

  • Communication & Collaboration
    Strong skills in bridging gaps between security, development, and infrastructure teams, with the ability to communicate technical risks to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Security Certifications (Preferred)
    CISSP, CISM, CEH, Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect, or other relevant certifications.

Skills

  • Extensive Azure cybersecurity experience including application security and cloud infrastructure
  • Deep knowledge of .NET (including older versions) and best security practices
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to serve as liaison to different audiences
  • Leadership and ability to mentor / guide teams throughout remediation process.
  • Proven track record of building security frameworks and optimizing processes.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
  • Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and influence key stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Wiz.io and NoName preferred

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Compensation

Capgemini discloses salary range information in compliance with state and local pay transparency obligations. The disclosed range represents the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting, although we may ultimately pay more or less than the disclosed range, and the range may be modified in the future. The disclosed range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, geographic location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $90,000 - $195,000.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission.

Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees. Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
