Bachoco USA is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for our plant operation located in Heavener, OK
Summary: This Manageris responsible for managing the daily operational quality activities at the assigned complex. Responsible for daily monitoring and verifying activities relative to USDA, HACCP, GMP, SSOP, SQF, customer and company requirements. This position reports to the VP of Quality Assurance in the Fort Smith, AR Central Offices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Supervise activities of the operational quality assurance superintendent, supervisors and technicians.
- Interacts with USDA personnel and customers as directed by senior management.
- Helps plan, organize and implement HACCP protocol testing.
- Responsible for meeting government, customer and company requirements and the reporting of significant events in a timely manner to management.
- Helps plan and prepare for plant audits.
- Assists with product recalls and dispositioning events.
- Responsible for any and all directives brought forth by senior management.
- This is a safety sensitive position.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a science related field from a four-year college or university or equivalent education and experience.
- 4-7 years related experience in plant poultry quality operations.
- HACCP, GMP, SSOP and SQF certifications.
- Experience supervising others required.
- Experience in the poultry industry required.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages two quality supervisors and one quality assistant. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also responsible for supervision of these 38 non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
