is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for our plant operation located in
Heavener, OK .Summary:
ThisManageris responsible for managing the daily operational quality activities at the assigned complex. Responsible for daily monitoring and verifying activities relative to USDA, HACCP, GMP, SSOP, SQF, customer and company requirements. This position reports to the VP of Quality Assurance in the Fort Smith, AR Central Offices.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned.Supervise activities of the operational quality assurance superintendent, supervisors and technicians.Interacts with USDA personnel and customers as directed by senior management.Helps plan, organize and implement HACCP protocol testing.Responsible for meeting government, customer and company requirements and the reporting of significant events in a timely manner to management.Helps plan and prepare for plant audits.Assists with product recalls and dispositioning events.Responsible for any and all directives brought forth by senior management.This is a safety sensitive position.
Education and QualificationsBachelor's degree in a science related field from a four-year college or university or equivalent education and experience.4-7 years related experience in plant quallity operations.HACCP, GMP, SSOP and SQF certifications.Experience supervising others required.Experience in the poultry industry required.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages two quality supervisors and one quality assistant. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also responsible for supervision of these 38 non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
