Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Essential Functions:

  • Completes Initial Level 2 SMS Training and maintains currency as outlined in the SMS Manual, Chapter 4.
  • Takes action to ensure that personnel are trained and qualified to perform duties as assigned and perform evaluations on performance.
  • Supervises and directs all maintenance functions regarding line aircraft at station assigned too, or AOG event assigned too.
  • Ensures ground equipment quantity needs and maintenance requirements, are coordinated with the Maintenance Control.
  • Supervises and reviews the work of aircraft technicians.
  • Ensures tooling, equipment, and publications are available to accomplish assigned tasks during turns and Maintenance ground times.
  • Monitors staff and scheduling to ensure adequate maintenance coverage and operational efficiency.
  • Reviews overtime and initiates schedule changes as required.
  • Reviews paperwork generated by Maintenance for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensures Company policies are followed, and all safety concerns are addressed. Generates WBAT reports when necessary.
  • Coordinates maintenance activity as required with other departments, MXC, and Heavy Maintenance.
  • Reviews operational delays cause, and report finding to Manager of Maintenance.
  • Monitors policies, regulations, and procedures for the purpose of ETOPS.
  • Coordinates with the MXC and Materials departments to ensure parts and equipment are ordered in a timely manner for A/C deferrals, station stock etc.
  • Performs monthly Station Audit Form M-69 and uploads to share point.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in a position responsible for returning aircraft to service
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity maintaining the same category and class of aircraft as the company operates.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations Parts 65, 91, 121.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in maintaining large airplanes with an air carrier
  • Have completed all initial and recurrent training required to ensure that they are qualified to perform their duties.
