This position pays: $80-90K

What you will be doing:

• Serve as the Deputy SQF Practitioner and run the Quality department independently in the absence of the Head of Quality.
• Review and verify receiving, testing reports, and inspection records, and report results to the Production Manager/Head of Quality. Assist technicians with tests as needed.
• Ensure compliance with CDFA and regulatory requirements, including monitoring incoming milk quality, milk storage, and pasteurization processes.
• Escort CDFA inspectors during inspections, create regulatory inspection reports, and maintain monthly compliance records.
• Monitor sensory quality of ingredients, work-in-progress, and finished products to ensure consistent product standards.
• Verify GMP practices and document corrective actions as needed to improve facility operations.
• Maintain the SQF system and work closely with the Head of Quality on system compliance and improvements.
• Manage customer complaints related to product quality and safety, coordinating corrective action plans.

What you bring:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of QC/QA supervision, preferably in food or dairy manufacturing.
• Certification: GFSI Practitioner Certification (preferably SQF) and PCQI trained/experienced.
• Knowledge: General knowledge of PMO, CDFA, and FSMA compliance requirements.
• Languages: Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
