Proclinical is seeking a Director of Oligo-Bioconjugate Delivery will lead a cross-functional group focused on advancing tissue targeted biotherapeutics, particularly oligonucleotide conjugates. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a strategy for therapeutic development and contribute to a growing pipeline.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will lead a cross-functional group focused on advancing tissue targeted biotherapeutics, particularly oligonucleotide conjugates. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a strategy for therapeutic development and contribute to a growing pipeline.
Skills & Requirements:
- Expertise in biochemistry, protein engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of building and growing cross-functional teams.
- Deep knowledge of conjugation and oligonucleotide chemistries, and analytical characterization techniques.
- Success in the discovery, characterization, and development of bioconjugation-based therapeutics.
- Experience managing CROs for the production and characterization of bioconjugates.
- Strong analytical, research, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
The Director, Oligo-Bioconjugate Delivery's responsibilities will be:
- Lead the development and optimization of oligonucleotides and linker/conjugation chemistries for tissue targeted delivery.
- Develop and implement strategies to support the engineering, production, and characterization of oligonucleotide bioconjugates.
- Design and build lab space to meet the needs of the Oligonucleotide Chemistry & Bioconjugation group.
- Recruit and mentor a team of scientists to discover and develop candidate bioconjugates.
- Contribute to the growth of the non-viral pipeline by achieving platform and program goals.
- Establish a network of external partners, including academic institutions and CROs, to enhance capabilities.
- Stay updated on technological advancements in the oligonucleotide/ADC space.
- Develop and manage timelines, resources, and operating budgets.
