POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Oil and Gas Regulatory Specialist to join our team and manage our compliance with the Office of Natural Resources Revenue (ONRR) regulations. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Specialist will be responsible for compiling, reporting, auditing, and payment of ONRR-2014 Royalty reports. The specialist will also take on the task of reporting monthly OGORs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of federal and state regulations related to oil and gas production and will work closely with various departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports to ONRR.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations related to oil and gas production.
  • Monitor changes in ONRR regulations and assess their impact on company operations.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with accounting, legal, and operations teams to gather necessary data for reporting.
  • Respond to inquiries and audits from the ONRR and BLM.
  • Maintain detailed records of all regulatory filings and communications.
  • Provide support to staff on regulatory compliance matters.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of ONRR regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in regulatory compliance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
