TalentoHC is actively partnered with a Healthcare organization seeking a Head of Finance.

The Head of Finance will lead the company’s overall financial strategy, ensuring that key financial performance indicators are tracked and met, while identifying and executing corrective actions when necessary. This role encompasses oversight of tax compliance, end-of-year reporting, and company-wide financial initiatives. As a key member of the Executive Team, reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Finance will guide the organization’s financial direction, collaborating with other departments and occasionally representing the company to external stakeholders. Strong executive leadership and strategic capabilities are essential, as is the ability to drive both short-term and long-term financial objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the company's financial strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and financial benchmarks.
  • Serve as a financial advisor to the CEO, Board of Directors, and, when necessary, external stakeholders, including customers.
  • Establish and enforce best practices, policies, and procedures within the Finance department to drive efficiency and compliance.
  • Track and assess company financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and taking corrective action as needed.
  • Ensure appropriate checks and balances are in place across accounting and finance operations to maintain accuracy and integrity.
  • Assign tasks, set deadlines, and oversee the performance of the Finance team, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Provide financial insights and advice to the Executive Team to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure that all financial processes comply with regulatory standards and that the company is up to date with changes in GAAP and other relevant regulations.
  • Prepare and deliver financial reports and analysis to department heads, executive leadership, and the Board of Directors.
  • Oversee accounting operations, budgeting, cash flow management, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage tax reporting, year-end closing, and ensure timely submission of tax filings. Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals as needed.
  • Oversee cash balances, capital requirements, investment funding, and management of financial reserves.
  • Manage the company’s insurance policies, as well as any building and facilities-related financial needs.

  • Proven track record as a seasoned financial executive with the highest ethical standards.
  • Strategic thinker with strong technical skills, analytical abilities, and excellent judgment.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial, tax, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with the ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and motivate finance teams.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with peers, direct reports, and other business leaders.
  • Extensive experience in corporate finance and ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Experience with financial software implementation and optimization.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in an entrepreneurial, dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline (Master’s in Business Administration or Finance highly preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial leadership, demonstrating deep expertise in finance functions and analytics.
