Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Supply Chain Associate - North America. The Supply Chain Associate will be responsible for communication, customer service, inventory management, supply chain management, and procurement tasks. They will work at our Pittsburgh, PA location in the North Shore.
The ideal candidate is eager to work for a reputable global sustainability firm. Someone who is a highly organized, and detail-oriented team player who will oversee the entire order process. Candidate should be proactive, self-driven, independent, and career oriented. Compensation will include a base salary plus commission.
Responsibilities
- Initial preparation and issuance of Request for Quotations (RFQs) for a wide range of commodities
- Process modifications to terms and conditions of purchase agreements
- Draft and Analize proposals, negotiate prices, and select the best suppliers
- Market and sell products to customers
- Coordinate freight trucks, and exporting containers
- Perform commercial analysis on suppliers to develop more efficient processes and cost-effective solutions
- Analyze trends, follow up with placed orders, verify delivery, approve payment, and maintain necessary records
Qualifications
- Communication and Customer Service skills
- Experience in inventory management and supply chain management
- Knowledge of procurement processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
